SH48052 Supermarine Seafire Mk.III in 1/48 – finished model

One of our December 2016 new kits was also a reedition of our earlier  SH48052 Supermarine Seafire Mk.III model in 1/48 scale. Below, we have brought for you some photos of a built model of the Seafire as flown by Sub./Lt. Richard H. Reynoldse, DSC, RNVR, one of the most successful pilots of this type. The model was built by Michal Šourek from Liberec.

1/72 model of the Delta – custom made kit

Special Hobby produces also custom-made models for our partners. One of such models is our latest effort, the Northrop Delta in 1/72 scale that has been prepared for French company Azur-Frrom . In the photos below you can see how such short run type model of the last generation looks like. To bring also the Czech modeller the opportunity to acquire the kit, we have arranged with the customer that a limited quantity of the kit will be made available on the domestic market. The model will be released in two boxings.

SH48120 Bücker Bü 181 Bestmann in 1/48 – finished model

The model of our 1/48 Bücker Bü 181 Bestmann kit (SH48120) has been finished by accomplished modeller Jean-Luc Formery who has also been kind to share his photos with us. His build review is to be published in March issue of Scale Aircraft Modelling magazine

SH48180 model 239 Buffalo "Taivaan Helmi over Finland" in 1/48 – update

Yesterday, you could see here on our blog the camouflage options and decal sheet artwork for our upcoming 1/48 kit of Model 239 Buffalo   "Taivaan Helmi over Finland" cat.no SH48180 (and also the decal sheet graphics for SH48189 Bücker Bü 181 Bestmann "Panzerjagdstaffel"). The Buffalo kit was one of those that had been originally released by Classic Airframes, but having bought tooling moulds and production rights for all the kits of this company, we can offer this kit now under our own label. But as one of the Buffalo tooling moulds showed rather heavy signs of wear and tear, we decided to replace it with a new one. This new addition to the kit will cater among other details also for the R-1820 power plant parts that have been designed using our advanced 3D systems and of interest also might be that the new tooling block is currently being finished by a renown expert Mr. Vandelik.
