Jan Šimon builds 1/72 Zetor 25

Image
Merry Modelbuilder Club's Jan Šimon has built himself yet one more tiny little Zetor tractor. You may remember some time ago he already built the even smaller Zetor 15  using kit MV127 , now it is the very slightly larger Zetor 25 variety that has left his workbench. A good news for those of you who want to repeat Jan's experience, this kit no MV129 has been restocked recently after it was sold out in just under two months.

Thomas Abbondi, the editor-in-chief of Auriga Publishing, shares with the SH blog readers a couple of photos showing a duo of Swedish fighter plane models, both of which originate in Special Hobby kits. And of course we cannot fail to mention, the two kits are: 1/72 SH72235 J-9/EP-106 and 1/72 SH72384 JA-37 Viggen .

The Beaufighter Mk.II Early Type Conversion Set no. CMK 7489 which was already been announced earlier has now got its firm place in our February Newsletter, ie. its release date has been confirmed. Alongside the plethora of resin cast parts, all of which you can closely inspect via the quite nice and tale-telling images below, the modeller will also get a sheet of finely printed decals and a fret of etches. There is a total of four marking options in this set containing machines flown by crews from Britain, Canada, Czechoslovakia or Poland.

CMK 8055 Unimog U406 DoKa Military Airport Tug + Towbar in 1/48 - superbly finished by Martin Pfeifer

Image
Martin has finished this life-like replica of the   Unimog U406 DoKa Military Airport Tug . The resin kit comes with catalogue no. CMK 8055 and instead of pre-cut clear film windows, this model already contains standard clear styrene injected ones. No worries then :-) The tow (or push) bar is also offered in the kit, so your only concern now should be some nice plane to attach to. The atmospheric shots portraying the Unimog tug on some military airport can be a huge inspiration for your own build.

Image
The first set of our latest, 3D-printed series of products, is already available, see here:  P35001 Small Arms for the Volkssturm Set I.  The set consits of two submachine guns MP3008 of the second production style, one with a metal type arm rest and the other one with war-time ersatz wooden arm rest. Next, the set also contains one of most widely used Volksturm rifles, the 6.5mm Karabiner 409(i), as was also known the ex-Italian Carcano Moscheto modelo 91 carbine. The final option is the originally anti aircraft machine gun MG 81 adapted for ground targets and fitted with a bipod. All these 3D-printed fire arms also come with photo-etched harness. Two more sets of the Volkssurm Fire Arms will follow, too, plus several more 3D printed products. The photos shown below depict all three Volkssurm Fire Arms sets together.

Fabulous Standa Hajek is the author of yet one more Stuka boxart, this time depicting the night flying Junkers Ju 87D-5 Stuka fitted with tubular-shaped flame damper shrouds on the exhausts. A stunning piece of art as always, is it not?

A bit of behind the scenes ...

Image
The photos our team have taken earlier today bring the so very much sought after behind-the-scenes look at what moulding tools are being currently worked on, or actually prepared for production. In the tool shop, the 1/72 Junkers Ju 87D5 and 1/48 Siebel Si 204E are being assembled and in the injection production room the 1/48 AH-1G Cobra moulding blocks are awaiting the first series of hot styrene shots :-)
