   Our May releases, the 1/72 Barracuda and Vampire kits will no doubt highly benefit from the addition of these CMK resin cast sets.    Besides those in the leaflet, we would like to mention also the figure sets for the Barracuda: F72326 Barracuda Crew members - Standing (3 fig.) F72330 Barracuda Mechanics (3 figures, aboard carrier w/raincoat)      And do not forget to use these photo-etches with your Vampire: K72029 Vampire Mk.3 Coloured photo-etched parts (perfectly okay for the Mk.I Vampire too, despite them being originally designed for the Mk.3)    Set Q72313 - Vampire Wheels are scheduled for June release, but are going to be available already next week.

Not only the re-released Special Hobby 1/72 ‘Home Fleet’ Fairey Barracuda kit (SH72306) , but most importantly also the brand new ‘Pacific Fleet’ Barracuda boxing (SH72343) are finally ready for you now. We have got all the needed components for both these kits, the packaging process has commenced so the first kits could expected in good hobby shops in just a couple of days. Yesterday we took some images of the Barracuda's box content and also a few behind the scenes shots from our packaging department to show you the results of Special Hobby team effort.

Today we have for you a couple of photos which famous British aviation historian and also a modeller, Tony O’Toole was kind enough to share with us. He has currently finished our model of the Fairey Barracuda Mk.II in 1/72 scale ( Special Hobby SH72306 ), although it is built in a different scheme than offered in the kit. Tony used some aftermarket decals and his model depicts a Barracuda of 847 Naval Air Squadron that saw service aboard HMS Victorious in 1944. Thanks Tony!

Today we have begun to pack the new Barracuda Mk.II model (cat.no. SH72306) which is expected in distribution in coming days. The very last item of this model kit waiting to be finished was the sprue containing some small and delicately rendered parts of the model. Now please take a look at the photos below and enjoy the detail levels, we are pretty confident that our toolmakers put on a very good show. - overall view - fuselage construction bulkheads and undercarriage wheel bay sidewalls - u/c wheels, a torpedo half and radar antennae - spinners, instrument panel and the other half of the torpedo, also note the drive propellers - radio equipment, armament racks and propeller blades
