SA35008 Panzerbefehlswagen 35(t) in 1/35 - a model built by Martin Pfeifer. Photos O.Hajek

Image
Martin Pfeifer has built one of this year's new release, the  Panzerbefehlswagen 35(t)  command version of the Pz.35(t) tank, model no. SA35008 . The excellent model is shown below in photos by O.Hajek. While processing the images, he spotted a mistake Martin had commited, so Martin had no other choice than to take the model back and fix the thing so that a new set of photos can be made. Well, now, one of todays images is the original one, including the still not fixed mistake. Can you find it? Do try and excercise your sharp eyesight. No reward for the good guess, sorry.

Bugatti 100 - 1940 Thompson Trophy Winner - a model built by Martin Pfeifer

Image
In 1940, the Bugatti 100 broke the speed record as well as it won the Thompson Trophy, the most famous of American speed races, leaving all rival machines far, far behind. For the race, the previously all-blue Bugatti was re-painted in the French flag colours.    Well, nothing of this is obviously true, just a 'what-if' sort of game. However, the truth is that the Bugatti model ( SH72457 ) wearing this colourful livery is a very eye-catching subject. Today's images, showing Martin Pfeifer's expertly built and finished model, were taken by Special Hobby's O.Hajek.

Echos of the Fair which was not - Special Hobby receive The Model of the Year Award

Image
The Nuremberg Spielwarenmesse - The Model and Toy Fair, did not take place again this year. However, this does not mean that happened nothing related to the fair. One of the things not affected by the covid pandemics was the announcement of the Model of the Year 2022 Awards. These are traditionally given by the editors of the ModellFan magazine at the fair. This year, Special Hobby received the award in the category of the resin accessories for set 7 455 Messerschmitt Bf 109E Engine and the award itself was sent via post. Unfortunately we cannot take a photo of the proud team with the award in front of the exhibition booth, but we firmly believe it will be possible next year. Well it also applies to the whole fair.

These figures can of course be used with any other late war Wehrmacht vehicle. All of them, cat. nos. F35260, F35261, F35262, F35263 and F35370 are available via our e-shop  here .
