The Musketeer Thunderstreak - stripes all around

Image
Stripes here, stripes there, colourful stripes wherever you look... Well this is a brief and yet so very much fitting description of our latest F-84F release, the   SH72492 F-84F Thunderstreak Operation Musketeer/Kadesh. All of the three colour options sport some sort of colourful bands and stripes around the fuse, wings and empennage. Fancy such addition to your display case? We bet you do, so do also take a closer look at the photos showing the contents of the box....

A few bits and bobs for the 72nd scale Tempest, even with a doggie

Image
Airfix's 1/72 Tempest does deserve some accessory sets and these photos today show what we have decided to offer you. You can see the 3D-printed test prototype items such as the engine with tanks (P72008), early style cannons which are truly gems themselves, even with nuts at the end of the barrels (P72009),  gun sight and pilot's seat set (P72010) where the sight will come made from clear material and the seat is of correct proportions, not so terribly narrow and lacking the belts as the kit item. Then we will also make the undercarriage wheels, even two stlyes of them, early and late, which will be made of resin. And we cannot forget to mention the pilot and a ground crew (F72402), where the mechanic attends the start cart while the pilot enjoys a few peaceful  moments before another mission fooling around with his doggie friend...

P-40M Warhawk Going to Finland (from Russia and not very happy with that)

Image
Amongst our October new releaeses is also this reboxing of the very fine Warhawk kit which can now boost with a very interesting story behind. The machine had originally been delivered to Russia only to find itself on the other side of the front very soon. The P-40M kit comes on three grey styrene sprues, one with clear parts and also offers a sheet of decals with the original Russian red stars and the new markings as flown with the Finnish air force. The contents of kit no.  S H72486 is very nicely shown in today's images....

SH32088 Westland Whirlwind FB Mk.I in 1/32 - chosen schemes

Image
The colours of  WW2 Whirlwinds are far from boring. On the contrary, this is quite a complicated matter involving various changes of the colour schemes and the shades used. Each squadron and the respective ground personnel interpreted the regulations differently, e.g. the Sky band ahead of the tail. And below is our rendition based on the period photos....

The Winning Zetor Tractor Model

Image
Well as you can see today, a resin cast model of a tractor can place very well indeed not just at some regional model show but even at the National Championship. What is more, such a model can even win the contest. Yes and this is the case of today's portrayed 1/48 resin replica of the Zetor 25 tractor superbly built by Pavel Belda who won this year's Nats in Liberec in the category of quarterscale military vehicles. His model is built using   8063  Zetor 25 ‘Military w/Towbar for MiG 15/17s’   kit set. The tractor tows a partially disassembled MiG jet and is a real and breathtaking gem. Really, no more words needed now, just enjoy the photos.
