SG-38 - a 1/48 model built by Wojciech Sokołowski

Today's photos showing a 1/48 scale SG-38 Schulgleiter model came all the way from Poland by a modeller named Woiciech Sokolovski. He used our   SH48139   SG-38 / ŠK-38 ‘Czechoslovakia, Poland and East Germany’ kit set and so we would like to thank you Woiciech very very much.    And what also needs to be mentioned, the range of the SG-38 glider kits covers also German and Slovakian schemes - kit no.   SH48141  or even by far more exotic option, British-built  EoN Eton/SG-38, kit no.  SH48198 , with decals for gliders used in the UK, Belgium, France and Sweden. And last but not least, why not also get a pilot for your glider model? Well, figure  F48300  is here for you :-)

A Cobra much bigger than usual - 1/32 scale SH32090 AH-1Q/S Cobra ‘Tank Hunter’ - box contents

This February's new release, the 1/32  SH32090 AH-1Q/S Cobra ‘Tank Hunter’  consists of ex-ICM sprues joined with a pair of new sprues containing conversion parts enabling you to turn the older G version airframe into the later Q/S type. One of those sprues is of standard grey styrene type, the other one offers that huge clear greenhouse of pilot's and gunner's cockpit. The sheet of decals and colour option schemes cover one US machine, one as operated by the Turkish army and a pair of choppers flown by the IDF/AF in Israel

Spanish Stork - a 1/48 Fiat BR.20 Cicogna as built by Martin Pfefer

Among all those very nicely built Martin Pfeifer's models we had the opportunity to have with us at the Nuremberg Fair was also this Stork, or rather Fiat BR.20 Cicogna as it is usually known, a model built from our   SH48229  kit. This displayed piece bears the colours and markings of one of te very first BR.20 Fiats brought to Spain and operated by the Aviazione Legionaria, te Italian forces giving helping hand to Spanish dictator Franco. Very helpful to Martin's build were also our masks  M48025 , which, as Martin says, makes painting the model a task much easier.

News from Special Hobby 02/2025

Dear business friends,   The International Toy and Model Fair in Nuremberg is over. We would like to thank all business partners who visited us at our stand. We hope that everyone got home safely, as some traveled all the way from the antipodes. We take positive impressions from all business meetings and we believe that they will be reflected in the orders for our products. There was a really big interest in them. The biggest stars were the 1/72 Kriegsfischkutter and the 1/32 AH-1Q/S Cobra. While we are finishing the 1/72 KFK and will launch it on the market in April, the 1/32 AH-1Q/S Cobra is already packaged and is one of the February new releases. But we are planning much more new models for this year. For May, on the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe, we are preparing the first two boxings of the long-awaited Mosquito with Merlin engines with two-stage compressors. We are also preparing interesting reissues of kits, the return of which is in demand by both our b...
