Mr. Dan Yeoman of Israel has been so very kind to share with the readers of SH blog a couple of photos showing one of his latest builds, the 1/72 MQM-74A Chukar Target Drone. The tiny 3D-printed kit set     P72035  was first available last Telford where Dan also bought it. While he has the smaller scale version, we do offer also its larger cousin, the Chukar in 1/48 scale. One of our team is currently building the larger one so we hope to have a few photos for you soon. Dan, thanks a lot for your superb little gem!

German Flying Saucer Sack AS-6 work in progress

Image
Several times in the history of aviation, the attempt to build an aeroplane featuring either a circular or annular shaped wing has appeared. Special Hobby did reflect on that and has already made a couple of models of such more or leww weird contraptions. Some time ago we also brought the modellers model kits of the German circular wing attempt called the Sack As-6. At first, those models, in both major scales, were in the short run format with vacuum-formed canopies. And in their times, these kits proved quite a success really so now we would like to have these Saucers back in our offer. However, as it is said that no-one enters the same river again, the new kits now are really new ones, brand new ones, with the small parts injection moulded using metal moulds and with the canopies injected as well. The scales remain the same, 72nd and 48th. The very first sprue mould has already been tested..

Rooster Tailed SH72523 Super Mystère - built model

Image
Jan Šimon of the Merry Model Builders Club is here again with one of his first models finished this very year. Well perhaps he may have already begun the build the previous year, who knows. Special Hobby's 1/72  SH72523  kit was only released last December so it still pretty hot stuff now. And given the wintery release date, our photos depict the model against a snowy backdrop. And it needs to be admitted that it suits the rooster-tailed jet very well indeed.   We also need to remind you about some of the items related to our SMB-2 kit, the  M72001  mask set is a great help, and from 10 January, we also offer two styles of 3D-printed boarding ladders. One of them, set   P72036 , was used only in the French military, but if you intend to build an Israeli Sambad, feel free to use either of them i.e. also set  P72026 .
