SH48180 model 239 Buffalo "Taivaan Helmi over Finland" in 1/48 – update


Yesterday, you could see here on our blog the camouflage options and decal sheet artwork for our upcoming 1/48 kit of Model 239 Buffalo  "Taivaan Helmi over Finland" cat.no SH48180 (and also the decal sheet graphics for SH48189 Bücker Bü 181 Bestmann "Panzerjagdstaffel"). The Buffalo kit was one of those that had been originally released by Classic Airframes, but having bought tooling moulds and production rights for all the kits of this company, we can offer this kit now under our own label. But as one of the Buffalo tooling moulds showed rather heavy signs of wear and tear, we decided to replace it with a new one. This new addition to the kit will cater among other details also for the R-1820 power plant parts that have been designed using our advanced 3D systems and of interest also might be that the new tooling block is currently being finished by a renown expert Mr. Vandelik.

For your inspiration, we are happy to be able to share with you several photos of the real Finnish Buffalo aircraft that is on display in Finnish Air Force Museum / Suomen Ilmavoimamuseo  in Jyväskylä, Finland. Dear business friends,     February is over, March is here and with it also comes our third newsletter of the year. If I can look back on February, it was quite atypical. While it wasn't snowing here in the Czech Republic, Russian fighter bombers were falling down over Ukraine. As a skiing lover, I hope for winters full of snow. I also hope for a sky without Russian bombers over Ukraine. It would certainly be better if people in Ukraine could live in peace without Russian bombs and missiles. And also make models. Like ICM for example. Last month we offered you an interior set for the 1/35 AH-1G Cobra helicopter model kit by this company. Dear business friends,      The Nuremberg fair is over now. Despite some chaos in the organisation before the start of the fair, we can say we are quite satisfied with our participation and the fair itself. Compared to last year, the first post-covid year, the exhibitors were much more plentiful this year. Many more traders and distributors also arrived at the meeting. So we practically did not have the chance to stop for a while. This, of course, filled us with optimism as it was nice to meet you all in person. When I write about personal meetings, I was most impressed by meetings with colleagues from Ukrainian companies. War is terrible. It's one thing to watch it from the comfort of your home on TV news, and another to hear about personal experience with Russian missile and drone attacks on civilian targets.
