SH72364 A.W. Meteor NF Mk.14 in 1/72 - decal sheet first view

Image
The 1/72 model of the final all-weather Meteor NF Mk.14 version (SH72364) offers four marking options on its decal sheet. Three of the machines were flown with the RAF, the fourth depicts a Meteor of the French CEV (Flight Test Centre). Among the RAF options is also Meteor WS775 flown by Miro Liškutín. So, not just British and French, also a Meteor of a Czechoslovak pilot...

3146 Panhard 178/AMD-35 Wheels and 3147 Panhard 178/AMD-35 Armament and Ammunition

Image
The French WW2 Panhard 178/AMD-35 armoured fighting vehicle as kitted in 1/35 by ICM is a very nice model indeed and has tempted us to make a few sets which would bring the detail level even further. And the good news is you can use these sets with Revell and Tamiya kits to as these are reboxings of the ICM styrene parts. The AMD-35 vehicle saw service not just with the French army, it fell to the hands of German Wehrmacht too. And at least one of those machines was captured further, this time by Czech Resistance fighters and was used in the May 1945 Prague Uprising. And we can promise you now, these two sets is not our final word on the Panhard topic!

CMK Sets for 1/48 J2M3 Raiden/Jack (Hasegawa)

Image
The J2M3 Raiden/Jack is arguably one of the most visually pleasing Japanese aeroplanes of all times, or at least for me it is. The quarterscale model of the Jack is also a very nice one. In our range of CMK resin sets, you can find almost anything you might need to make your Jack almost life-like, the sets on offer are 4370 Cockpit , 4371 Undercarriage Bays (in the kit rather shallow and detailless), 4369 Control Surfaces , and 4372 Wing Armament . And those of you who might like just some minor improvements, take a look at these pilot's seats, either with the seat belts or without them.

SH72455 DH.100 Vampire FB.Mk.9 ’Tropicalised Fighter-Bomber’- clearly very hot piece of boxart

Image
Sometimes this autumn, Special Hobby will be releasing two new 1/72 Vampire reboxings.  Along with the ‘long-winged’ Mk.3 Vampire, you will be also tempted by a version we have not released before, the tropicalised, fighter bomber FB Mk.9 Vampire. As you will have guessed from the name, these Vampires had been fitted with an air-con unit in a special housing on the starboard side of the fuselage nacelle, just front of the air intake, which made them suitable for service in hot areas. The boxart below is another CGI masterpiece by M.Reiniš.

Harvard Mk.IIA - a 1/72 model suprebly finished by Martin Pfeifer using kit SH72447

Image
Special Hobby's Harvard Mk.II/IIA/IIB (SH72447) is a kit based on the AT-6G Texan of the Korean Academy with the addition of our own special conversion styrene, resin and photo-etched parts. The model was very well received by the modellers, in fact the demand really surprised us and we had to put much more kits on the market than first planned - which resulted in our not having any Academy styrene parts left for the future versions and reboxings. Never mind though, we will tackle it, more batches from our Korean colleagues are on their way already. However, if you feel yourself a Harvard fan, simply do not hesitate. You know what is it like with those "hot cakes". Our friend Martin Pfeifer has recently finished one od the machines offered in SH72447 box, using  pre-cut masks M72024 as very handy aid which made his build much easier and quicker. Photos taken, as always, by our fabulous Ondra Hajek.

SH72451 SF-260 Duo Pack & Book - colour schemes unveiled

Image
Although the SF-260 Duo Pack & Book model kit is due for release in September, we would like to share with you now those eight colour (and rather colourful too) marking shemes the kit will offer. As is clear from the name of this series, there will be two kits in the box and a very nice photographic publication as well - in the form of the M.H.M Publications piece on the SF-260 topic. So, what you get in the box? Two complete kits, three clear canopies (one tall, two standard ones so that the modeller would not be limited when chosing the schemes), pre-cut masking sets for sure too, and as a special treat a set of resin underwing armament. The Rhodesian machine differed from all others by having very unique, upward bent and shrouded exhaust pipes, in this kit also made of resin.

CMK figures for your dioramas with modern US armoured vehicles!

We also have figures of US soldiers that are just the thing for dioramas featuring 1/48 Tamiya kits (for example Humvee or M1A2 Abrams). All three sets are designed in 3D and super detailed.
