SB2C-5 Helldiver in 1/72 (SH72350) and Lloyd C.V in 1/48 and 1/72 (SH48044 / SH72122) – tooling mould progress


During the last few days, our toolmakers have been busy milling the tools for our SB2C-5 project. I grasped the opportunity and took some photos depicting the process. Along the Helldiver, there are also parts for our Lloyd models being milled as well as a fuselage section for our 1/48 reconnaissance  Junkers Ju 88 kit. The final photo shows the fuselage parts for our forthcoming 1/48 Libellula resin kit. This type is already in our portfolio in 1/72 scale, now we want to make happy also those among the modelling community who prefer bigger scale.

Dear business friends,     February is over, March is here and with it also comes our third newsletter of the year. If I can look back on February, it was quite atypical. While it wasn't snowing here in the Czech Republic, Russian fighter bombers were falling down over Ukraine. As a skiing lover, I hope for winters full of snow. I also hope for a sky without Russian bombers over Ukraine. It would certainly be better if people in Ukraine could live in peace without Russian bombs and missiles. And also make models. Like ICM for example. Last month we offered you an interior set for the 1/35 AH-1G Cobra helicopter model kit by this company. News from Special Hobby 02/2024

Dear business friends,      The Nuremberg fair is over now. Despite some chaos in the organisation before the start of the fair, we can say we are quite satisfied with our participation and the fair itself. Compared to last year, the first post-covid year, the exhibitors were much more plentiful this year. Many more traders and distributors also arrived at the meeting. So we practically did not have the chance to stop for a while. This, of course, filled us with optimism as it was nice to meet you all in person. When I write about personal meetings, I was most impressed by meetings with colleagues from Ukrainian companies. War is terrible. It's one thing to watch it from the comfort of your home on TV news, and another to hear about personal experience with Russian missile and drone attacks on civilian targets.
