1/32 Tempest moulds – work in progress

If you had a kind of feeling that nothing is happening with our 1/32 Tempest project,
you could not be further from the truth. The Tempest was having a bath for several months
and was enjoying it quietly and peacefully. Gentle electric current was tickling the model master parts as well while they were receiving layers of copper in the electroplating solution. The moulds do not look quite tempting you would say from the photos, but the truth is that we are excessively happy with the outcome, everything went to our expectations.
All what is needed for now is to clean away the traces of electroplating fluinds from the moulds and pour so-called “white metal” to the moulds back sides. So, quite a lot to do yet. And the milling machines are busy with tooling the small parts moulds.

Dear business friends,     February is over, March is here and with it also comes our third newsletter of the year. If I can look back on February, it was quite atypical. While it wasn't snowing here in the Czech Republic, Russian fighter bombers were falling down over Ukraine. As a skiing lover, I hope for winters full of snow. I also hope for a sky without Russian bombers over Ukraine. It would certainly be better if people in Ukraine could live in peace without Russian bombs and missiles. And also make models. Like ICM for example. Last month we offered you an interior set for the 1/35 AH-1G Cobra helicopter model kit by this company. In this newsletter you will find another set for this model and we are preparing more for the following months. The sets will combine resin cast parts with 3D-printed ones. News from Special Hobby 02/2024

Dear business friends,      The Nuremberg fair is over now. Despite some chaos in the organisation before the start of the fair, we can say we are quite satisfied with our participation and the fair itself. Compared to last year, the first post-covid year, the exhibitors were much more plentiful this year. Many more traders and distributors also arrived at the meeting. So we practically did not have the chance to stop for a while. This, of course, filled us with optimism as it was nice to meet you all in person. When I write about personal meetings, I was most impressed by meetings with colleagues from Ukrainian companies. War is terrible. It's one thing to watch it from the comfort of your home on TV news, and another to hear about personal experience with Russian missile and drone attacks on civilian targets.
