SH48177 Junkers Ju 88C-4 – testbuild model finished


Our collaborator, Mr.Miloslav Hrabaň has finally finished our SH48177 Junkers Ju 88C-4 kit using the testshots and prototype conversion parts. The very last thing he added was the changed colour of the front engine radiator covers which in fact was to be yellow. Just notice please Mila´s effort which he showed during his build, not only was he able to portray highly realistically the surface wear and tear, he also brought the kit into life by weathering the camouflage colours until the bare metal was made visible, what´s more, also the underlying original camouflage colours of RLM70/71 shades....

We are going to showcase this nice model during this year´s Nuremberg Toy Fair in Germany, so visit our stand and you will be able to inspect Mila´s kit for yourselves. We will be waiting for you at our stand E52 in Hall 7.

Dear business friends,      The Nuremberg fair is over now. Despite some chaos in the organisation before the start of the fair, we can say we are quite satisfied with our participation and the fair itself. Dear Business Friends,    In the September instalment of Special Hobby Newsletter, you are going to read about only one large scale model, the 1/32 Fiat G.50bis that comes in the bomber and navalized versions. Very first 2023 surprise for you from SH - the 1/72 F-84F Thunderstreak aka Super Hog

   2023 holds several surprises for you up its sleeve and the very first one is here today, the 1/72 scale F-84F Thunderstreak. This swept wing jet, alongside its predecessor the F-84F Thunderjet (straight winged) is no doubt one of the symbols of the Cold War early stages. And also an iconit jet of the NATO defence alliance. The USAF operated their Thunderstreaks, also affectively known as Super Hogs, both in the USA and over Europe. In the UK, the 20th TBW USAF F-84F jets were also fitted with a special underwing rack that enabled them to carry and deliver a tactical nuke. Deliveries of the F-84F made the Europe's air forces, from the very north down to the southern NATO flank, much stronger and effective and the jet kept flying from mid 1950s up to the early 70s and with some forces even longer.
