Nuremberg Info No.2
During the
2017 Nuremberg Toy Fair we were happy to reveal some of our projects that we
have been preparing for some time now. One of such reveals is the P-40 Warhawk
kit in 1/72 scale and I have to point out that our team have been really very thorough during
our the preparations. Firstly, the decision was taken to bring the modeller all
Allison engine powered versions, from the P-40E through the P-40N. The highly
accurate CAD model was made possible using measurements taken on a real Curtiss
fighter plane displayed at the Virginia Military
Aviation Museum (your visit there is highly recommended!) and also thanks to
original blueprints of the P-40 subassemblies. The resulting model is highly
detailed and will be moulded using metal tooling blocks with several sliding
components. You may expect photographic coverage of the sprues very soon here,
until then we have brought for you a pair of computer rendered pictures of the
P-40E and N design.
