GAL 48 Hotspur Mk.II (PLT211) and GAL 48B Twin Hotspur Mk.I (PLT213) in 1/48 – forthcoming Planet series models

Besides our 1/48 Miles Libellula kit that still needs some attention from our team, we are happy to share with you an announcement of yet another pair of Planet Model series resin kits, the GAL Hotspur Mk.II and GAL Twin Hotspur Mk.I, both in 1/48 scale. Whilst the Libellula has been completely designed using our 3D technology, the pair of gliders benefits fromt he 3D only as far as the cockpit and several smaller parts are concerned. The kits’ major components have been handiworked.  The preparation work on the master parts is still going to take some time, the smaller parts need to be produced on the 3D printer and the common fuselage halves also adapted for the Twin version. The camouflage schemes have not been chosen yet, but in the case of the Mk.II Hotspur, we plan to find also one glider flown by Czechoslovak pilots.

Dear business friends,      The Nuremberg fair is over now. Despite some chaos in the organisation before the start of the fair, we can say we are quite satisfied with our participation and the fair itself. Compared to last year, the first post-covid year, the exhibitors were much more plentiful this year. Many more traders and distributors also arrived at the meeting. So we practically did not have the chance to stop for a while. This, of course, filled us with optimism as it was nice to meet you all in person. When I write about personal meetings, I was most impressed by meetings with colleagues from Ukrainian companies. War is terrible. It's one thing to watch it from the comfort of your home on TV news, and another to hear about personal experience with Russian missile and drone attacks on civilian targets. Working and creating kits in such conditions is extremely difficult. I hope that Ukraine will receive much more aid than it is receiving today and that European politicians

Dear Business Friends,    In the September instalment of Special Hobby Newsletter, you are going to read about only one large scale model, the 1/32 Fiat G.50bis that comes in the bomber and navalized versions. All the other model kits are in 1/72 scale, and these are the P-40N fighter that sports very attractive schemes, really very colourful inter-war B-12A bomber as well as the re-issue of our 1/72 scale SMB.2 French jet fighter.    The detailing sets for this month contain the third set for our 1/48 SF-260 nice little kit (the two previous sets became available last month), the most interesting of the new sets is the wide variety of new details for ICM's 1/48 scale B-26B Marauder kit.
