SH72454 Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1 ‘Lightly-Armed Emil’ - boxart of Standa Hájek for new version of Emil

We have just received a beautiful painting for the kit SH72454 Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1 ‘Lightly-Armed Emil’ 1/72 from Standa Hajek. In the picture you can see the aircraft Bf 109E-1 red 16, 2./JG26 of Oberleutnant Fritz Losigkeit. Between May and September 1940 Losigkeit shot down 5 RAF planes. From July 1941 till January 1942 he was with the staff of the military attaché in Japan and took part in a project that compared the flight abilities of the Bf 109E and Japanese fighters. Once he returned from Japan he went back to flying and rose through the ranks. In 1944 he became the commander of JG51. At the beginning of April 1945 he took over JG77. On April 28, 1945, he was given the Knight's Cross. It is said he shot down 68 planes, some sources say 51. In our new kit of the Emil with machineguns you will find not only Losigkeit's planes but also 3 other interesting aircraft.
We initially wanted to show you two paintings. Standa was supposed to also send us the painting for SA72024 3,7 cm PaK 36 ‘German Anti-tank Gun’ 1/72, the so-called Knocker. But he somehow forgot to do it and only sent us a photo which only Mr Silhanek and I have seen. Believe me when I tell you that it looks very good. We will show it here next week, so please be patient.
A.R.
