A 1/48 Romeo Ro.43 on Trento cruiser catapult

The Italian heavy cruiser Trento was introduced into active service in 1929 and her fate was sealed in June 1942 by a torpedo launched from British submarine HMS Umbra. During the war, her catapults were often used by Romeo Ro.43 observation and reconnaissance biplanes. A model of this aircraft is produced by Special Hobby in the widely-liked 1/48 scale, its catalogue number being SH48137. A modeller unfortunately unknown to us has built the kit and placed it on a catapult with a section of the Trento cruiser hull. The photos which you can admire today have been kindly provided by the editor of SKY MODEL Magazine Thomas Abbondi. Dear business friends,     February is over, March is here and with it also comes our third newsletter of the year. If I can look back on February, it was quite atypical. While it wasn't snowing here in the Czech Republic, Russian fighter bombers were falling down over Ukraine. As a skiing lover, I hope for winters full of snow. Dear business friends,      The Nuremberg fair is over now. Despite some chaos in the organisation before the start of the fair, we can say we are quite satisfied with our participation and the fair itself. Compared to last year, the first post-covid year, the exhibitors were much more plentiful this year. Many more traders and distributors also arrived at the meeting. So we practically did not have the chance to stop for a while. This, of course, filled us with optimism as it was nice to meet you all in person. When I write about personal meetings, I was most impressed by meetings with colleagues from Ukrainian companies. War is terrible. It's one thing to watch it from the comfort of your home on TV news, and another to hear about personal experience with Russian missile and drone attacks on civilian targets.
