Quarterscale AH-1G/Q Cobra on Finals!

The 1/72 scale Special Hobby model of the iconic AH-1G Cobra chopper has already been around for some time, to be followed quite soon by a Cobra in 1/32 which is a co-operation with ICM and the first box is due later this year in the so-called Hi-Tech format. And there is yet one more Cobra in the pipeline, really! This time in scale often coloquially known as the quarterscale, i.e. 1/48. Some also call it the King Scale. Which of the three main scales should deserve that royal attribute can be argued about, now let us just express our opinion that there currently is no really nice Cobra in 1/48 and we do hope you might like that new one in the images below. They show both the test sprues and the test built model. The kit is scheduled for the market sometimes next year.

Dear business friends,     February is over, March is here and with it also comes our third newsletter of the year. If I can look back on February, it was quite atypical. While it wasn't snowing here in the Czech Republic, Russian fighter bombers were falling down over Ukraine. As a skiing lover, I hope for winters full of snow. I also hope for a sky without Russian bombers over Ukraine. It would certainly be better if people in Ukraine could live in peace without Russian bombs and missiles. And also make models. Like ICM for example. Last month we offered you an interior set for the 1/35 AH-1G Cobra helicopter model kit by this company. Dear business friends,      The Nuremberg fair is over now. Despite some chaos in the organisation before the start of the fair, we can say we are quite satisfied with our participation and the fair itself. Compared to last year, the first post-covid year, the exhibitors were much more plentiful this year. Many more traders and distributors also arrived at the meeting. So we practically did not have the chance to stop for a while. This, of course, filled us with optimism as it was nice to meet you all in person. When I write about personal meetings, I was most impressed by meetings with colleagues from Ukrainian companies. War is terrible. It's one thing to watch it from the comfort of your home on TV news, and another to hear about personal experience with Russian missile and drone attacks on civilian targets.
