A new project in progress

Today's two photos bring you the interesting behind-the-scenes look at what is currently being worked on in our design studio. You will have recognized the unmistakeable profile of the Stuka wing, and this time it is the really very nicely detailed and accurate Academy  kit we will be bringing you shortly, transferred into SH72448 Junkers Ju 87D-5 ‘Foreign Service‘item . The polybagged parts are already on their way from Korea, now we are finishing the couple of upgrading elements we want to add to the original kit. The prototype items, black in the photos, have been 3D printed, in the kit they will be made by styrene injection to metal type moulds. The paint schemes have already been picked out and one of our skilful graphics designers is meticulously working on the decal sheet as the kit is scheduled for January 2022 release.

Dear business friends,     February is over, March is here and with it also comes our third newsletter of the year. If I can look back on February, it was quite atypical. While it wasn't snowing here in the Czech Republic, Russian fighter bombers were falling down over Ukraine. As a skiing lover, I hope for winters full of snow. I also hope for a sky without Russian bombers over Ukraine. It would certainly be better if people in Ukraine could live in peace without Russian bombs and missiles. And also make models. Like ICM for example. Last month we offered you an interior set for the 1/35 AH-1G Cobra helicopter model kit by this company. In this newsletter you will find another set for this model and we are preparing more for the following months. The sets will combine resin cast parts with 3D-printed ones. News from Special Hobby 02/2024

Dear business friends,      The Nuremberg fair is over now. Despite some chaos in the organisation before the start of the fair, we can say we are quite satisfied with our participation and the fair itself. Compared to last year, the first post-covid year, the exhibitors were much more plentiful this year. Many more traders and distributors also arrived at the meeting. So we practically did not have the chance to stop for a while. This, of course, filled us with optimism as it was nice to meet you all in person. When I write about personal meetings, I was most impressed by meetings with colleagues from Ukrainian companies. War is terrible. It's one thing to watch it from the comfort of your home on TV news, and another to hear about personal experience with Russian missile and drone attacks on civilian targets. Working and creating kits in such conditions is extremely difficult. I hope that Ukraine will receive much more aid than it is receiving today and that European politicians
