T-2 Buckeye - an upcoming 1/32 scale release with colourful anniversary options

The T-2 Buckeye jet trainer aircraft is no doubt a true legend of US maritime aviation. Both the US Navy and the Marines operated the type for a rather long time and in Greece, the Buckeye remained in service even longer. Apart from the standard red and white livery, quite a  few US airframes were painted in much more striking schemes. And most notably in 1976 when the USA were commemorating the bicentennial anniversary and many a Buckeye got various display finishes. The Greek machines, on the other hand, flew camouflaged throughout their service life and only at the very end of their career was one of the airframes painted in a scheme to mark the type's 40 years long service.

The decal sheet in the SH32087 kit caters for one white-blue-red machine of the US Navy and one from Greece with colourful tailfin.
