Injection moulded canopy for the L-39 Albatros in 1/48


Some time ago we announced our plan to produce injected canopy parts for our 1/48 L-39 Albatros kits and many modellers here are getting more and more impatient about the expected release date.

So, now I am happy to be able to share with you these photos which show you the electro-plated moulds (or galvanic type of moulds if you like) that have recently been finished and as you can see, our highly skilful colleague and toolmaker Pavel is about to set the moulds into mould frames.

Would you guess what type of aircraft will receive the other canopy parts that we will be producing from these moulds besides the Albatros?

Dear business friends,     February is over, March is here and with it also comes our third newsletter of the year. If I can look back on February, it was quite atypical. While it wasn't snowing here in the Czech Republic, Russian fighter bombers were falling down over Ukraine. As a skiing lover, I hope for winters full of snow. I also hope for a sky without Russian bombers over Ukraine. It would certainly be better if people in Ukraine could live in peace without Russian bombs and missiles. And also make models. Like ICM for example. Last month we offered you an interior set for the 1/35 AH-1G Cobra helicopter model kit by this company. News from Special Hobby 02/2024

Dear business friends,      The Nuremberg fair is over now. Despite some chaos in the organisation before the start of the fair, we can say we are quite satisfied with our participation and the fair itself. Compared to last year, the first post-covid year, the exhibitors were much more plentiful this year. Many more traders and distributors also arrived at the meeting. So we practically did not have the chance to stop for a while. This, of course, filled us with optimism as it was nice to meet you all in person. When I write about personal meetings, I was most impressed by meetings with colleagues from Ukrainian companies. War is terrible. It's one thing to watch it from the comfort of your home on TV news, and another to hear about personal experience with Russian missile and drone attacks on civilian targets.
