Special Hobby EN

In September, we expanded our lineup with a reissue of the 1/48-scale Guardian radar model kit, AF-2W version. This is a limited reissue, so if you’ve been wanting this model, don’t hesitate. We also offer masking films and resin wheels for this kit.

Milan Pospíšil sent us photos of the Junkers Ju 87D-3 model he built. He used the SH72470 Junkers Ju 87D-3 Stuka ‘Experten’ 1/72 kit. It’s great that he sent not only photos of the finished model but also photos from the build process. Thank you very much for the photos.

We have added the 1/48 scale SH48093 Heinkel He 178V-2 model kit back to our product lineup.

Standa Hájek painted what I think is a very nice box art for the upcoming 1/72 scale kit of the tropicalized all-weather Meteor, the SH72363 Meteor NF Mk.13. To that unknown GLS employee who broke the picture and caused Standa and me extra work, I’d like to say that karma is free and that it’ll probably come back to bite him. A.R.

One of Special Hobby’s new releases in August was a 3D-printed model of a widely used piece of RAF equipment : the Type B Bomb Trolley with Armourer in 1/48 scale, cat. no. P48056 . We won’t stop at this scale—we’re also planning to release the Type B Trolley in 1/72 and 1/32 scales.

One of the accessories for the 1/48 Baltimore that’s already on sale is a set of wheels with tires featuring a so-called “diamond pattern ” (they’re actually just regular diamonds 😊), set 4522 . The tires are cast, while the rims—available with or without hubcaps—are 3D-printed. We’re also working on wheels with tires featuring longitudinal grooves. These were also used very frequently on Baltimore models.
