Lysander Mk.III (SD) - a 1/48 scale conversion set

Using our 1/48 scale conversion set no. 4495 you will turn Airfix's Lysander Mk.I into the Special Duty (SD) Mk.III variety that saw wide service both in Europe and the CBI Theatre, inserting and removing agents from far beyond the enemy lines, not mentioning the obvious rescue of downed allied airmen. The 3D printed set offers new and nicely detailed parts for both the interior and exterior of the SD Lizzie, including the correct shaped type of the underbelly fuel tank - differing somewhat from those that can be seen on Mk.III lizzies flying nowadays. The decal sheet caters for four quite interesting and colourful schemes, two from Europe, another two from India. And one of our Indian Lizzies even dropped Japanese troops to the jungle just a few days after the war had ended, with the intents to persuade the remaining and isoladed groups of Japanese soldiers that the war indeed was over.
