Following the completely succesfull fit test of the 1/72 Viggen clear parts, our highly skilled colleague in the toolshop studio polished and I have to say that really very nicely, the cavities and cores of the clear parts aluminium moulding tool. His effort was undoubtedly worth it, you can see the result in the image below.

   CMK colleagues have prepared another resin model kit in their MV range. This kit, number MV120, represents a German military aircraft tug vehicle, the MAN LE 10.220 which could happily join any of your contemporary Bundesluftwaffe model such us the Tornado, Taifun or others.    The design was created using 3D software, the master parts produced on a 3D printer to achieve superb levels of detail. What is no doubt interesting, the canopy clear parts are injection moulded into metal mould tools. Decals included too, of course.

This February and March will see also release of (among other) of the Vampire Mk.3 #SH32279 kit in 1/72 and Tempest Mk.VI #SH32055 in 1/32. The Vampire was already issued once a couple of years ago, this year's re-issue has got slightly improved boxtop painting, the original one had incorrect top wing roundels (although the decals and camouflage scheme was okay even in the first release).

   Our soon-to-be-released 1/72 Blohm Voss BV 155V-1 model is going to offer the prototype camouflage scheme. Decal sheet, as you can see, was printed in excellent quality by our Italian colleagues at Cartograf.

   It was announced quite a while ago that Special Hobby and our Swedish partners at Tarangus joined their muscles and brains on another project, the 1/72 family of SAAB Viggen models. The latest development in the project is the clear parts which have been recently finished (sans polishing) and now we have to check thoroughly their fit with the rest of the parts to make sure there are abolutely no trouble spots there. In the accompanying pictures you could see for yourselves that the parts fit just like the idiomatic glove.   So, now full steam ahead with the polishing....
