SH48222 L-4 ‘Cub in Post-War Service’ - boxart

The already mentioned (in the latest newsletter, have you read it yet?) 1/48 L-4 Grasshopper kit will no doubt come to the modeller in many different flavours, so to speak. One of the boxings has already got its boxtop artwork done as you can see today. This kit, cat.no. SH48222 bear the name ‘Cub in Post-War Service’ and the author of the fabulous painting is Antonis Karidis. The image features the L-4 flying under Czechoslovak civil registration OK-YFJ in around 1947. At that time the fuselage side carried an advertisement for Mr.Dynybyl's company producing alcoholic beverages, even though the Piper belonged to another factory owner, a certain J.Zitko, who had a mechanical weaving mill at Lhota u Červeného Poříčí.
