News from Special Hobby 06/2024

Dear business friends,

1At the end of the previous Newsletter I wrote that the 1/72 SH72505 F-84F Thunderstreak 'Reborn Luftwaffe' kit containing a fragment of a real aircraft would soon become sold out. Yes it became. The entire limited edition is sold out. Which is good, it's proof that we've hit on the tastes of our customers. SH48238 and SH48238B SMB-2 Super Mystère 'Sa'ar – Israeli Storm in the Sky' in Hi-tech design is also currently out of our offer. But that's not good. The model is produced in cooperation with our Ukraine based friend and unfortunately, due to this fact that and also thanks to Putler's imperial dreams that causes real bombs and missiles fall onto Ukraine, the production of model airplane kits runs into problems that we, in the middle of Europe, cannot even imagine. Despite all the problems, we believe that SH48238 and SH48238 B will return to our offer within only a few weeks.
But let's get to the positive things. In addition to working hard on the 1/72 Kriegfishkutter and completing other moulds of this challenging project, the 1/48 SIAI-Marchetti SF-260 project is being finalized. Now we tune the molds and start preparing decals and instructions. We are also preparing two reissues. 1/32 SH32067 Yak-3 'Normandie-Niemen' Hi-Tech and 1/72 SH72402 SH-89 / CASA C.212 'ASW & Maritime Patrol' will return to our range. There is also a 1/72 B-12 bomber kit with colourful camouflages, another 1/72 P-40N Warhawk reboxing and a 1/32 Fiat G.50bis re-issue in preparation.
We look forward to your orders.

The Mk.4 Meteor jet was the first post war version of this twin engined jet and became a front-line fighter of the RAF as well as the air forces of Belgium and the Netherlands. Our model kit comes on two styrene sprues, one with clear parts and also offers a sheet of decals with markings for three RAF machines and one of the Dutch air force. Two of the British options have interesting connection with our country, then called Czechoslovakia, as they used to be flown by Miroslav Miro Liškutín and Charles Eagan Lamberton / Karel Lechner, who both first fled Czechoslovakia to fight the Nazis and a few years later were forced to flee for a second time, now by the new communist regime.

Men`s bicycle - first half of 20th century (3 pcs) 1/72

Art.no.ScaleBarcode
129-P720231/728595593131610

The bicycle was a very widely used means of transport during the first half of the 20th century, used by workers, soldiers and sportsmen alike. In WW2, the bike was also popular among the airmen, both Allied an German and used to get around on airfields. This has reently been shown also by the Masters of Air TV series. We have prepared really nicely detailed men's bicycles in 1/72 scale, two of which have their front wheel left staight, the third example is with the front wheel turned a bit which suggests it might have been flung in haste.
