Front and Rear Armament - Sets for the 1/48 B-26 Marauder by ICM

 During World War II, designers of medium bombers could take two paths. The first, the path of speed, was taken by designers at De Havilland with the Mosquito. The second path, the path of heavy defensive armament, was taken by more designers. Among them were the designers at Martin with their creation, the B-26 Marauder. For ICM’s Marauder kits, we prepared a series of sets some time ago, ranging from landing gear wheels and propeller repair sets to various gun stations. However, the tail gun turret and the boxes with fixed, forward-firing machine guns were missing. We have now rectified this, and you can find both sets among our latest releases. The tail gunner’s turret’s catalog number is 4516, and the machine gun pods have the catalog number 4517.

The 1/48 Heinkel He 177A is arguably one of our most asked for models long time out of production. Yes all we might do now is to inject a required number of sprues and restock the model and that would be it. But not, this is not what we aim for. Some of the original moulds have been replaced with new ones which can assure much better quality notable mainly in the smaller parts. The new moulds are 3D machined and the images below show very well the levels of detail this new method brings. This so to speak old-new bird is scheduled for 2023 release.

   It is my pleasure to use this opportunity now to say our huge thank you to all our customers for their cooperation and support in 2021. The year that has just passed was a very successful year for our company and we hope for no less in the new year, too. Why so?
