SH48160 Baltimore Mk.I/II 1/48 - Decals and Photo-Etched Parts for the Upcoming Kit

 The upcoming 1/48 Baltimore Mk.I/II kit will feature decals for four different aircraft. The kit will also include photo-etched parts.

The 1/48 Heinkel He 177A is arguably one of our most asked for models long time out of production. Yes all we might do now is to inject a required number of sprues and restock the model and that would be it. But not, this is not what we aim for. Some of the original moulds have been replaced with new ones which can assure much better quality notable mainly in the smaller parts. The new moulds are 3D machined and the images below show very well the levels of detail this new method brings. This so to speak old-new bird is scheduled for 2023 release.

   To get to our readers in time, each of our regular newsletters needs to be prepared and written well ahead of the issue date. And when I was writing in the previous one that the third new model to become available this September would be a very interesting aeroplane with an important connection to the history of Czechoslovak aviation – The Blue Bird or the Aero Ab-11 (SH72471), I really did not realise how very much wrong I was. Now I have to admit that the Murphy’s law has worked incredibly well all along the work on this project, and especially well worked the first and most important of the laws – if anything at all can go wrong, it will. Some setbacks had already appeared before the final and most crucial stages of the Blue Bird project, but when we got to finals, almost every aspect went simply wrong and the project got stuck.
