1/48 Airfix Hawker Hunter with CMK resin sets

The Hawker Hunter saw very long service with the RAF. The type enjoyed also huge export success. So, no wonder then that in 2019, British Airfix released the 1/48 scale model kit portraying this important and iconic jet. Special Hobby, in their range of CMK resin sets, subsequently prepared several sets for the builders to make this nice kit even more life-like. Set 4387 betters the cockpit area, 4388 offers new undercarriage bays. Three more sets come to improve the landing flaps. Although the kit does have them open, they lack any internal structure. So, set 4389 brings the F.6 version flaps while the different style flaps of the F.6A/FGA.9 are correctly portrayed in set 4390 - with a different-shaped cut out for the external fuel tank as well as different structure. The export Hunter F.58A style flaps are then offered in set 4402. All these sets combine both the resin parts and photo etches. Dear business friends,      The Nuremberg fair is over now. Despite some chaos in the organisation before the start of the fair, we can say we are quite satisfied with our participation and the fair itself. Compared to last year, the first post-covid year, the exhibitors were much more plentiful this year. Many more traders and distributors also arrived at the meeting. So we practically did not have the chance to stop for a while. This, of course, filled us with optimism as it was nice to meet you all in person. When I write about personal meetings, I was most impressed by meetings with colleagues from Ukrainian companies. War is terrible. It's one thing to watch it from the comfort of your home on TV news, and another to hear about personal experience with Russian missile and drone attacks on civilian targets. Working and creating kits in such conditions is extremely difficult. I hope that Ukraine will receive much more aid than it is receiving today and that European politicians

Dear Business Friends,    In the September instalment of Special Hobby Newsletter, you are going to read about only one large scale model, the 1/32 Fiat G.50bis that comes in the bomber and navalized versions.
